A FOTD and OOTD from yesterday and today :) && a mini trip to F21!

Today I wanted to share my very ordinary, nothing special makeup from yesterday and also my outfit from today :) My first class was cancelled so I had more time in the morning to get ready... so I curled my hair and even wore lipstick =O!! I don't mess with my hair much just because I don't have a lot of time to do so and because I don't want to damage my hair too much. I hardly wear lipstick but I wore Maybelline's Pink Please and a sparkly light pink gloss from Loreal over it.

What I used on my eyes.... I threw away my Lancome Definicils mascara after a good 5 months after opening the tube because it was getting kinda clumpy and wasn't performing as well as it used to. I bought Maybelline's The Falsies mascara a few months ago when it first came out and there was a sale but just got to try it out yesterday. So far so good! I might do a review on it next week after I get to test it out more :)

I've been trying this technique where I put on a lighter color all over my lid and darker colors closer to my entire lashline and blending it out. I applied Wet n' Wild's Penny single eyeshadow all over my lid past my crease a bit over the second color in the Revlon Skinlights quad. Then I used my E.L.F Butternut quad to finish up the look. I applied the light shimmery butter color in the inner corners of my eye and on my browbone. Using the medium brown shade I packed it onto my entire eyelid and blended it into Penny. Then I placed the darkest brown carefully across my entire lashline and worked it up in the crease just a teeny bit. Then I smudged Milani's pencil eyeliner in brown across my lashline and winged it out with a brush.

I think this kind of eyeshadow application technique suits my eye shape a bit more rather than a pronounced crease. It's a nice way to switch up a neutral look without being monotonous and boring. But I'll still continue wearing shadows in my crease even though it may seem to be playing up features I do not have considering my usually single eyelids, common to many Asians.

I was really sleepy when I took this picture because I just woke up and got ready but you can get an idea of my hair and lip color :)

Now onto what I wore today! :D I'll try not to blab so much since I've written quite a lot already....

Inner Striped Tank - Aeropostale
Pink Tank - Hollister
Blazer - Club Monaco
Jeans - American Eagle
Boots - Nine West

I love this blazer and it makes me feel really polished and sophisticated :) I really love the buttons running down the middle and the sleeves too!

Lately I've been itching to go shopping for some new clothes. From school I'm only a few minutes away from a variety of stores including H&M, Zara, Club Monaco, Express, Anthropology, Gap, Forever21, DSW, Free People, and soooo many more :) There's also a Mac, Sephora, and Lush! Unfortunately I'm trying to restrain myself from buying things I do not need and I'm on a strict limit on what I can buy... sorta :X

After walking into Sephora and swatching to my heart's content, I left the store extremely glittery handed yet satisfied. They had a few of the new Holiday collections out and I was surprised by the Smashbox Eye Wish Palette, available here, because I heard some pretty bad reviews on last year's edition. The eyeshadows were smooth and quite pigmented and it comes with four cream liners which I didn't get to try. I touched some Dior quints for the first time and I FELL IN LOVE. Ready to Glow is MY kinda palette... beautiful taupes, pinks, and browns.... Too bad it costs $58 >.< Anyways I'm almost 99.8% sure I want to get the TheBalm Balbini Palette. The two eyeshadows were SO SMOOTH and pigmented that I almost melted right then and there. One of the eyeshadows is a TAUPE! :D I love taupes! There are also two gorgeous blushes and a highlighter which I enjoyed swatching very much. I'm not a fan of lip products in general and even less of lip products in palettes but I'd be getting this for the powder products.

Anyway, I didn't pick anything up from Sephora as I don't often purchase in-store since I think online deals are a lot better. I only walked into a few stores to keep my wallet alive so I only made a $23.30 purchase from Forever21. I needed a new pair of leggings since my one and only black pair has a few holes in it (but they aren't noticeable really). I found a pretty thick pair which will be great for the winter for $8.80 and I found a super cute brown romper with a bow tie at the waist! I actually just thought it was a shirt until I got home and realized it was a romper but that's even better in my opinion :) I like the way rompers kinda shape my body since I don't have curves :(

I'm wearing both the leggings (which are nicer than I expected) and the romper (which feels really sheer but isn't transparent at all!). I'm really happy with my finds and the romper was only $14.50! Unfortunately New York City recently reinstated tax on clothing so I had to pay $1.02 in taxes :( Still not bad though ^^

You can buy the romper HERE online if you're interested :D You can see the bow much better in the stock picture! I bought the leggings and romper in a size Small and I'm about 5 feet almost 5 inches tall and 108 pounds for reference.
