Recent Empties

I did not post my empties last month just because I hadn't accumulated that many. I wanted to wait until I had a few more finished products so I could just show them all at once. I have a number of products that are almost finished but not quite... which always seems to be the case :) Enough blabbering, let's get on with the exit reviews!

The Body Shop Seaweed Toner (sample)
This small bottle came in a set with other products from the Seaweed line. The toner is nothing special but it was a lot more gentle than the one I had been using from Clinique which had too much alcohol. I have another mini bottle of this toner which I'm saving for my upcoming vacation in July. I much prefer my Lush Tea Tree Water over this one so I will not repurchase.

Up & Up Makeup Remover Wipes
This is the third pack of Up & Up wipes I have finished and these were the first makeup remover wipes I have ever tried. I really like these and I think they do a good job. I decided to try something different so now I'm using the Equate (Walmart brand) makeup remover wipes that are 120 wipes for $6 which is much cheaper than the Up & Up (25 wipes for $3.xx). I will be reviewing the Equate wipes soon and I don't see myself finishing them anytime soon so no need to purchase any wipes for awhile.... I usually use cleansing oil to remove my makeup unless I do not wear heavy makeup.

Up & Up Eye Makeup Remover
This is the second bottle of Up & Up Eye Makeup Remover I have finished and I have another one ready to go. This retails for under $6 and lasts me about 5 months. I can see myself repurchasing this because it is easy to use, sting-free, and affordable. It does dry out my eye area a bit sometimes but nothing a little moisturizer can't fix. If I'm super lazy I can just use cleansing oil to get rid of my eye makeup but I tend to get the oil in my eyes and the blurry vision really bothers me.

Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets
I picked up two packs of these near the end of December because everyone seems to love these. I can definitely see why! The material is super smooth and it gets the excess shine off my face as it claims. This pack lasted me almost half a year but I expect the next pack to be finished more quickly because my skin is more oily in the summer. I will repurchase these when there is a sale but I might try out some Asian oil blotting sheets. Oil blotting sheets are really a necessity and I need to have backups of these!

Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Powder Foundation
I hit pan on something! I bought this powder about a year ago and have used it quite consistently to set my makeup. I also use this over moisturizer and concealer if I want a more natural look. I think this a good powder because it gives a pretty natural finish. It mattifies but does not look cakey or thick. However, it does have an expiration date on the side of the compact and this expired in April.... I'm still using it though because I believe the expiration date applies to the SPF and powder products typically last for at least two years. So far my skin hasn't broken out from this product so I'll use it until I finish it.

As usual I finished a bunch of skincare related products rather than makeup ones. Let's see what else I'll finish up within the next few weeks!

  1. Lots of regulars that are being used up! A lot of my skincare is at the 'close to finished but not yet' mark too! I'm so use to using cleansing oils now that whenever I do try a makeup wipe I just don't feel clean afterwards =\ Which is terrible if I ever do travel because it's a lot of extra weight to carry around..

  2. I only use makeup wipes when I don't wear liquid foundation and have some concealer and powder on. I put some of my cleansing oil into mini bottles when I travel. I'll be away for two weeks at the end of the month and will definitely do a post on what I'm bringing with me :) I always save travel sized empty bottles and jars for other products.

  4. It's frustrating when certain countries don't have a brand or product >.< If you ever come to the states maybe you could pick some up ^^
