Barely There Makeup

If I had to choose between having too much makeup on or none at all, I'd much rather prefer the latter. At times I get too carried away with powder, eyeliner, blush or a combination of the three and I feel extremely self conscious for the rest of the day because I ran out of time to fix myself up. Whenever I have a semi important event whether it be an interview or an occasion where pictures will be taken, I tend to go for a natural look.

Both of the above pictures were un-retouched so what you see is my bare face on the left and the finished product on the right. Without makeup, my skin is very dull and there is discoloration on pretty much every inch of my skin. My eyes are undefined and the darkness under them makes me look like I have insomnia. With makeup, you can still see a number of my acne scars but my skin tone is all around more even. Applying some blush to the apples of my cheeks gives me a flushed look which I like. A bit of eyeshadow ever so slightly enhances my eye shape without looking overdone.

To see what products I used and how I applied them, check out the video below!

    1. Haha, I actually took the before picture by accident when I was trying to start the video. I realized at the end that I had a before picture so I decided to take an after one as well :) I would have smiled in the before picture but it was too late by the time I realized!

  2. just watched the vid. wow that first little cream made all the difference! oh and i realize the mood affects the before/after pic. it's hard for me to be all perky and smiley wearing baggy pj's as opposed to a bright/thoughtful outfit so haha. I want little cream!!!!

    1. The cream does not actually come in such a small tube but I just have the sample version :)

  3. The difference is so subtle and natural! I love it. I can get carried away too with makeup, lol. I need better lighting. Preferably more natural lighting so I don't get surprises when I step outside.

    1. Same here! The way my mirror is angled, it's hard to see if the left and right sides of my face are the same sometimes! :( Natural lighting is the best :)
