In-flight Beauty Bag

I made it alive to Amsterdam and I'm pretty much wiped out at this point. I arrived at 7 AM Amsterdam time which translates to 1 AM New York time and after multiple hours of signing leases, getting keys and being transported (thank goodness I did not have to brave a new public transport system on my first morning) I just want to take a nap. I pretty much knew I'd be extremely tired and not in the mood to blog so I drafted this post ahead of time! Enjoy!

Being the curious person I am, I love seeing what others keep in their TSA friendly beauty pouches and I'll be happy to show you mine! I had a clear zip up pouch from a Nuxe set laying around and find it a lot better for toting around in a carry on as opposed to just a plastic bag.

I refuse to wear makeup on the plane as there really is little point and the air is so dry. Thus I chose a few skincare essentials that will keep my skin happy and comfortable for the seven hour flight from New York to Amsterdam. I have a small bottle of Nuxe's Micellar Cleansing Water to refresh my skin (a few cotton pads are also going in my carry-on) and a mini of L'Occitane's Essential Water to act as a toner. For moisturizing I have the Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturizing Cream and a bit of Clarins' UV Plus HP Sunscreen right before I land. I also threw in my Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream which should last me my five month stay. If I had a sheet mask on hand, I would have packed that as well for extra hydration but alas....

I have a hoard of perfume samples so I'm taking a bunch with me to Amsterdam so I can use them up. The little drawstring mesh bag just keeps them looking a bit neater.

For the lips I have my trusty Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm to keep moisture locked in. The Sugar Fresh Lipbalms in Original and Rose are going to be my go-to for days out when I need the SPF. The Korres Jasmine Lip Butter is a no fuss nude color that I will try to use up on this trip.

Lastly I packed some space saving samples that are little extras "just in case". In the event that the cleansing water is not enough clean for my skin, I can use the Malin+Goetz Grapefruit Cleanser. To get an extra injection of moisture I might layer the L'Occitane Precious Serum under my moisturizer. Right before I fall asleep I want to give my eyes a bit of a boost with Kiehls' Rosa Artica Eye Cream and prior to landing I'll dab on a bit of Origins' GinZing to brighten my eyes.

How do you pack your in-flight beauty pouch? Do you go all out and bring every step of your skincare routine plus a few extras or do you go with a simple lip balm and hand cream?

  1. Glad to hear you made it safely! I thought the flight would be much longer. Only 1 hour more than flying from NYC to Cali :O
I haven't ever had to fly with beauty products yet. But this will definitely be of help for when I do :]

    1. Yep, Europe is actually not very far at all! The flight wasn't too bad but the time difference is kind of a pain. Honestly, I didn't end up using half the things because the airplane bathroom is so tiny and I always felt bad if I was taking too long in there!

  2. WOW are you always this prepared and organized? How long was your flight? I would have been fine with just lip balm and lotion and maybe a toothbrush and toothpaste if the flight is really long.

    1. I like to plan and make lists so this is fun for me :) My flight was seven hours. I actually forgot about a toothbrush and toothpaste but I had mints and seven hours isn't THAT long.
