The Fortnight Face #1: Peachy Keen

This is essentially my twist on the concept of shopping one's stash: choosing products every two weeks and sticking to only those things. The fortnight face will help me use neglected products while simplifying my makeup routine. Every two weeks I will choose a new round of eye, cheek and lip products to use.

To start things off, I chose easy to wear peach tones that complement the season. Lancome's Kitten Heel is a really fun rose gold eyeshadow and the other neutral shades in the GWP palette make a no fuss look. I'm trying to use up the Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadows in Skinlights because I've had the quad for ages. The shimmery colors make decent bases (with eyeshadow primer underneath) and the champagne shade also works as a cheek highlight. I'm adding the Urban Decay Naked Palette for good measure because I need a matte crease shade. On days when I'm not feeling a rose gold look, I can tinker around with the Naked Palette some more. I'm hitting pan on the Physician's Formula Gel Liner in Brown so I thought I might as well try to make a big dent in it.

For cheeks I chose the E.L.F Studio Blush and Bronzer, mainly for the bronzer. This is possibly my favorite and most used product from E.L.F because I love the bronzer. It's pigmented, decently smooth and the color suits my skin very well. For blush I opted for Nars' Gina which is a new addition to my collection, courtesy of my sponsorship from Apothica. The matte peachy orange blush is incredibly finely milled and looks gorgeous on the skin. Lastly for lips I'm keeping it simple with Clinique's Chubby Stick in Mega Melon.

Hopefully I'll be able to stick to these products for the next 14 days and I'll update you guys on my progress in the next fortnight face.

How do you cycle through your makeup collection? Do you ever challenge yourself to use certain products constantly?
